Extubated!

After 2 long weeks on a ventilator, Rena has finally been extubated.  So far everything is going well, she is breathing great, and getting plenty of oxygen. She is having trouble speaking because her throat is sore from the tube. She is still pretty weak and we are helping her to  move her legs around to keep them flexible and get things circulating. We continue to read to her to try to keep her spirits up.  She is very relieved to be free of the tube and is mostly resting.

  1. What great news. Now for the next stages of her healing. In my masseuse days, I read about a lot good results with the help with massaging the limbs, to help activate the muscles and nerves within. It looks like you have that covered!

You have a continuous stream of love, prayers, and healing energy going your way. Smiles, and "Rena, You go, girl!!!"

  3. Hallelujah! Now we can all breathe a little easier. Prayers continue for you on your road to total recovery. Rest those throat muscles and then exercise them...we know how teen and preteen girls LOVE to TALK ON THE PHONE!
